From last Thursday on, they are disappearing. I am using Outlook 2007 and I
cannot figure out how to keep them indefinitely. I use my inbox religously
and like to be able to reference back to them. Any thoughts? I am not sure
where to turn.

corphq9,
Have you checked and see if the messages are present through the web mail
interface of AOL. I know that AOL does have options to automatically delete
messages after so many days on some folders, I believe it is the Sent and
Deleted Items folders. You need to create folders there, and manually move
messages there to the user created folders if you want to keep them longer.

There is a possibility that there is a synch problem with the IMAP servers.
If the message is not there on their servers, the next time you synch the
folders in that account, they will be deleted from the folders in Outlook.
You may want to create additional mail folders in Outlook, and copy messages
from the AOL IMAP folders into them, to prevent more messages from being
deleted.
