i am denied access to my back up files

i had to to a full system restore and i saved everything in a backup file on
my computer but now i cant get access to anyfiles cause it says access denied
user does not have privileges. i am the owner and only user of this computer.
what can i do?

i did all this but it till wont show me the security tab. is there anybody
who can do a remote assistance to help me?

Do you already have NTFS file system and not FAT 32?
Windows XP Home or Pro?
For Home since Simple File Sharing is hard wired, you need to boot to Safe
Mode.
