Accessing backup files

I recently had to perform a full System Restore. I was able to retrieve many
program files but access is denied to mt old Owner documents & settings.
Everything I've read in system help says that the owner/administrator should
have access to all files.

I have many gigs of music, pictures, and videos that are taking up half of
my hard drive but I can't get to them.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

You may need to take ownership of the files. Take a look here

Amazingly enough, I totally & accidentally stumbled on to this procedure on
my own!
