i am being asked to register after reinstall 2003

could someone please tell me how to stop the re registration wizard from
coming up and saying i have allready registered and i can only register once.
i would think that it would make sense that i only register once. but being
as though i have reformated the system and reinstalled the program reffice
2003 it is asking again.
i do have a store bought and cd key. i must be missing something.

I believe that, in these circumstances, what you are supposed to do is to
phone Microsoft and plead with them to allow you to register it again.
