Hyphenation tied to a style

Is there a way to define hyphenation in a paragraph-based style in Word 2002?
I'd use the Automatically Hyphenate Document feature, but there are things
in my documents (e.g., headings) that I don't want hyphenated. It would be
handy if Word would hyphenate only the text of certain styles.

You can't set automatic hyphenation directly for a specific style. What you
can do, if it's appropriate, is to define a style with "Do not check
spelling or grammar". Besides preventing spell-checking in text formatted
with that style, it will also prevent automatic hyphenation of that text,
even though hyphenation is turned on for the document as a whole.

It's up to you, but that tradeoff doesn't appeal to me. I'd rather do manual
hyphenation anyway.
