I have a D875PBZ Intel motherboard running all the latest drivers, firmware, and bios (downloaded today) with a 2.8ghz processor and (2) 512m sticks of DDR memory

If I run Hyperthread Enables at memory speed of 333mhz all is fine. If I try at run it at 400 (which the motherboard wants to run it at) XP will not load. Any ideas?

I would check that the DDR supports running at the speed of 400mhz

The 2.8GHz is available as a 533 FSB or an 800 FSB. If you somehow have the 533 variety, you may be overclocking your processor and your memory past their limits. Not all CPU's or memory overclock
well, and some companies such as Crucial, Kingston and OC test all their memory modules and sell the overclocking-friendly ones at a premium, leaving those that are not as stable as standard. You don't say
which variety you have. If you have DDR333 modules, you may have to settle for that. I'm sure you can get better overclocking help at a different newsgroup, or a dozen different websites devoted to
overclocking.
