Hyperlinks with Viewer

Chuck

I use Textboxes andCustom Action Buttons to put hyperlinks over sections of
an image on a slide. With Powerpoint, the hyperlink is recognized everywhere
in the object - border or interior of the rectangle, whether filled of no
fill..
With the viewer, the hyperlink is only recognized on the border of the
rectangle, unless you fill the object (which defeats the purpose of having
an invisible hyperlink over a section of an image!!).

Am I missing something ? Is there a way around this - I just want to put hot
spots on an image on a slide, is there some other way to do it??

Thanks in advance for any help.

Chuck,
If you are using PPT 2002 or 2003, you can adjust the transparency of the
shape. When using it as you are, I find that setting the shape to have a
solid fill with a transparency somewhere in the neighborhood of 95-97% will
keep it from being visible (in most cases), but still allow the interior of
the shape to be clicked.

Try giving it a fill of any color, but set the transparency to 100%. That's
only possible in PowerPoint 2002 and 2003, but since you didn't tell us what
version . . . .
