hyperlinks go blank

every time I type in an email address or a hyperlink in outlook outgoing messages it immediately disappears from the message screen. Example if I type (e-mail address removed) it disappears as soon as I type it and hit the space bar. This is true of anything that looks like a hyperlink.

what is the color settings for hyperlinks? Are you using white backgrounds
or color?
