Hyperlinks disappearing

Clicking on a hyperlink in a Word 2003 doc I am writing causes it to
disappear, and does not reappear on the page or in prinitng until I close and
open the document again. Why does this happen and how can I prevent it?
Please also reply to (e-mail address removed).
 
Check the formatting of the Followed Hyperlink style. It may be set to White
or Hidden.
