I cannot create a hyperlink from Word 2007 to a PDF document (with Acrobat
ver 8) using a platform of Windows XP. Has any one got a fix? The Error
message I get is "No program is registered to open this file." The PDF file
does open in acrobat.

The implication of the error message is that Windows does not have a working
file association for PDF format. Either repair Acrobat to restore the
associations, or from Windows Explorer, right click a PDF file and select
Open With ... Pick Acrobat and check the option to always open with this
application.

Hi Tone,

This is probably because the Acrobat:
.. file association information may be corrupt, and/or
.. program isn't correctly registered in the Windows registry.
To fix the problem you'll have to repair/reinstall Acrobat. With Acrobat Professional at least, you can do repairs through the
Acrobat Help menu or the Windows Control Panel.

Cheers
