When I create my hyperlink in Word2007 to open a .pdf document it is opening
the directory instead. It just started doing this yesterday. I don't think
I am doing anything different. Any suggestions?

UPDATE: I went back and looked at the hyperlinks that were working verses
the ones that only opened the directory. I noticed that the file name of the
hyperlinks that did not work started with # (ie. #61 Document name.pdf). I
renamed the document without the # (ie. 61 Document name.pdf) and they
hyperlink works fine now. Evidently, using the symbol # created a problem in
following the link, don't know why, but without it my .pdf document opens
just fine.

Hi C.L.,

Withing a hyperlink the # character has a special meaning, as a divider for a 'named anchor' (specific spot) within a page/document
you're linking to. http://www.echoecho.com/htmllinks08.htm
