Hyperlink Freezes Computer

When I try to open a web page hyperlink that is in the body of an email my
computer freezes and has to be restarted. I can copy the hyperlink address
from the email body and paste it into IE6 and it will open just fine.

Can anyone point me to what causes this problem? Is there a setting or
paramater that can be changed to fix this?

Try this: In IE, click Tools>Internet Options>Programs>Reset Web Settings
