If you have a hyperthreading capable motherboard and a
hyperthreaded CPU and the BIOS is set to allow such
operations and your software uses hyperthreading, it will
turn on after your do a repair install if those conditions
were not set (except the software) when you installed.
That may not be entirely correct, but I don't think XP would
install drivers for a system that couldn't use them.
