hyerlinks in Outlook Express always go to home page

whenever I click on a hyperlink in an email in Outlook
express, IE6 opens but always goes to my homepage.
Hyperlinks from within IE6 function normally. I have run
spybot and adaware and antivirus and my PC is clean. Any
help greatly appreciated

It may be a HOSTS file problem.
Look for a file named HOSTS (no extension, could be hidden) rename it
OLDHOSTS.
