Hung App_System Restore

Since installin SP2 - which I had no problem with
installing - System Restore is hung. I shut it off,
restored last know good state, etc. It is still hung.

Late bulletin - Two of my friends who just loaded SP2 are
having the same, "hung app," issue with System Restore.

Please advise.

Hi Lee

When does System Restore 'hang'? If could be that one or of the SR files
have become corrupt. You can try turning SR off then on again - but that
will mean that all existing checkpoints will be erased and you will have to
re-download/re-install the Windows Updates:

Right click My Computer, select Properties and then the System Restore tab.
Enable 'Turn off System Restore on all drives' and reboot your PC. After
that 1st reboot go back into SR and disable 'Turn off System Restore on all
drives' and reboot your PC again. After that 2nd reboot you should have one
new SR checkpoint.
