Hundreds of reminders come up every time I run Outlook

Several hundred reminders (literally) come up every time I run Outlook, and
these are for tasks that have no reminders or due dates set. Also, every time
I edit a task and save it,the reminder comes up again for that task. I've
tried running outlook.exe /cleanreminders and it did nothing. Any ideas?

Yeah, I suppose I could, but I can also start over with something besides
Outlook. It's been very unreliable lately and I can't have this happen again.
