huge problem

On my Admiastator account, I had a programmed 'pinned' to
my start menu, when I installed a newer version to a
different location, I told the old start menu icon where
to find it, and then, every .exe file I ran tried to run
same program, and now I've removed the folder and
every .exe file I try to run, gives me a 'specified file
does not exist' error....is there a way that I can
restore the default locations for all my programs??

It sounds like all your .exe files have become "associated" with that
program that has now been deleted.

I could only see this entry in Help and Support and the solution may only
apply to Windows NT (There might be a much easier way to fix this on WinXP)
but at least it explains what I think has happened.

Perhaps also take a look at "To associate a file name extension with a file
type" in the help and support.

See Doug's site below. Click on XP-FIXES, and then on the FILE EXTENSION
FIXES item.
