HUGE FONTS AND BIGGER THAN LIVE DISPLAYS

Last week my computer froze up. I did a restore and retrieved everything ok.
Now when I open certain programs, the displays goes crazy and the display is
HUGE. Huge fonts, Huge icons, displays run off the screen, etc. Can someone
tell me what is wrong and how to fix the problem. HELP>>>>>>

No need for all upper case in the subject line, doesn't make reading it any
easier and may cause people to ignore you.
First thing I would do is reinstall the graphics driver.

What "certain programs?"
