Hi
Normally my pc display is at 800 x 600 screen res. with 96 dpi. I tried a
higher resolution but found things too small so bumped up the dpi to 120 in
display/settings/advanced. This made things too big and 'blocky', so I went
back to 800 x 600 and 96 dpi - or so I thought. Despite selecting 96 dpi and
restarting the PC, the display must still be at 120 dpi as everything is too
big - the icons in my taskbar are much bigger than normal and pixelated for
example. The minimise/maximise windows buttons are huge
I have tried several times switching between 120 and 96 in the settings and
restarting, also tried forcing it install the fonts file from my windows CD
and restarting, but all to no avail (it shows 96 dpi in the display settings
but clearly this isn't what I have.)
I am using Win XP pro, regularly updated. I also updated my graphics card to
the latest drivers in case that was the problem, but it didn't resolve it.
Any ideas? Is there a registry entry I could check/edit?
