Hello, All!

i have following problem
i have set my xp to have 120 dpi (display
properties-----settings---advanced----general)
using ie sometimes pictures or forms are overlapped.
this appens using any computer with 120 dpi.
using normal size (96 dpi) ie shows page correctly.
why does ie follow xp settings? how can i resolve this problem?

i can't use 96 dpi.
i have to use magnifer or 120 dpi....
i prefer 120 dpi, is the best solution for my needs...
i have tried 96 dpi and setted bigger fots for all elements (icons, text
messages, buttons...)
but there are parts of xp that can not be resized under property dislay
(chararcter size of certain zone are non modificable) so they are too
little for me.
is there no other solution? : (
i have see that firefox can be setted in an indipendent way from xp...

You could use the default 96 dpi setting (as someone else said, it's a
programming thing), and decrease your screen resolution (i.e. 1024x768
to 800x600), or if it's just the screen fonts that are too small to
read, change the font size (Display Properties - Appearance - Font
Size).

decrease resolution is bad thing for lcd.... quality is very bad.....

Decreasing the resolution won't harm your LCD screen, although anything
other than the screen's native resolution will cause a slight
degradation in the display. I have the same problem with my laptop. It's
native resolution is 1600x1200, but you'd have to have Superman's eyes
to read anything on it at that setting, so I compromised and set it to
1024x786. It's not the perfect solution, but until companies build LCD
monitors with multiple "native resolutions", we're apparently stuck with
choosing which is going to hurt our eyes more... Tiny fonts and icons,
or a slightly imperfect display. The only other thing I can think of is
the magnifying tool in Microsoft's Power Toolpack, but it only magnifies
part of the screen at any given time.

As to changing the fonts in the taskbar, I believe that there is a way
to do it by removing some of the system fonts from the Fonts directory,
but I don't know exactly how to do it, and I wouldn't recommend trying
it unless you're absolutely desperate because it does have a down side
(fewer system fonts). If you are, then do a Google search for "resize"
"taskbar" "fonts". Alternately, maybe someone else has a solution...
GUYS???
