Hub and cables

Hello. I cannot get my wireless network to work at all. So therefore I have
done this. I connected both computers via an ethernet cable to a hub. I ran
the windows network setup wizard. So far the computers can see themselves
but not the other one. what can I do?

Here is some more information. I have the both comps plugged into the hub
and thats it. When I turned on the comps I got a little yellow exclaimation
point on the task bar on the network icon and it said the network is limited
or not available. All I want to do is drag files from one computer to the
other. Why is this so complicated?
