Every time i try to connect to a website with a "https" connection, i get the
error message, "This Page Cannot Be Displayed" I even had to go on to
another computer to fill this out since i can't sign on to .net passport, as
it connects through an https conncection.
any advice would be greatly appriciated

Nick,

I just ran into this one today and the fix was embarrassingly simple, but
may not be the same one for you.

Open Internet Explorer, click on Tools > Internet Options > Advanced, then
scroll to the bottom of the list and check the two boxes for "Use SSL 2.0"
and "Use SSL 3.0." Click on OK. Test it by clicking on Start > Windows
Update > Scan for Updates and see if it gives you an error or a list of
needed "Critical Updates."
