http and https

I have recently had the trojen that takes you to a searchpage, so first I ran spybot but that didn't get ride of it but found a few other things wich I got ride of but not the fix I needed so got CWShreder wich got rid of it but now I cannot go to any site that requires https like internet banking, is there a setting that I've overlooked or messed up or something any help would be great thanks
