http:///?%20 error - has anyone seen this before?

My cousin is having a problem accessing any websites at
all on her system. She types in, for
example, 'http://www.google.com' and she gets back:
http:///? www.google.com

and nothing else. Has anyone ever seen this or know what
the fix is? She has all the current patches and is running
Windows XP. Thanks

she needs to run some spyware software.. a good one is
cwshredder.. download it for her and run it on her
system.. should help.. Also there is ad-aware try to run
them both

Repair IE and O/S with CWShredder.

Close all instances of IE & OE and other running programs,
unzip the tool, hit the executable and follow the prompts.
