.html icons dont show up

icons for .html and hml only show up as a the windows unknown icon (the white
icon with a program box inside) how do i change this back to the orginal
icon, going to folder options then file types, then restore doesnt work. how
do i get it back to the default icon?

now its the notepad icon

Now try changing the icon via Folder Options.
