HTML has no sound

I've created a webpage (HTML) from powerpoint and have hyperlinks from one
webpage to another. I've burnt all the files into a CD and the main page
opens automatically once the CD is inserted into the computer drive. I have
passed the CD to some people. But I've received feedback from 1 of them that
there is no sound when viewing a powepoint show with animation.

There is voiceover inserted into the slides - and no one else has any
problem. I had thought it may be because she doesn't have the "powerpoint
2003/2002 add-in: office animation" runtime feature. But she had downloaded
it and still there is no sound. What could the reason be? Her speakers are
working well and she can hear the background music in the CD - but just that
the animation doesn't seem to have sound. Someone please help!

If you published your presentation as a webpage .htm/.html the recipient
does not require PowerPoint to view the presentation. The internet browser
they are using is all that is required. If all the other things are working
like you say and it is in htm/html format, have the recipient confirm that
she is allowing pop-ups. I have found that this sometimes stops things from
happening.

Thanks, Michael. But it is not the pop-up - the presentation show works fine
but just no sound... could it be her sound card?

Thanks for the tip.. however, it is not music that gives me the problem.
Using Michael's steps, I had managed to insert background music that plays
throughout my menu/ home pages.. but this problem of mine happens only when
the user clicks on one of the hyperlinks that opens another html file. In
this new html file, the sounds do not come up - because short sounds are
inserted into each slide - when the slides move. Any other possible reasons??

Good possibility that it could be her sound card. Especially if it works on
other machines. I would get her to check for driver updates, and see if that
helps.
