They stopped offering *free* registrations. . . Registerware is not
Freeware. . . OTOH it's my understanding that if the app was
registered before they stopped offering free registrations it still
works. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Have you considered HTML "generators" such as Web Dwarf, DHE Editor or
Webbuilder? These save your work in a proprietary format until you publish
to HTML at which point they produce the output.

Pros: Dead easy to work with -- they all use css positioning techniques and
layers.

Cons: Can't edit an HTML page directly. You have to edit the original
program file then re-publish.

I like both Web Dwarf (so much so I paid for its big brother Site Spinner)
and Webbuilder. I use these to layout a page quickly, then use a text editor
to tweak the look and enter text content.

I'm of the opinion that Notepad (or equivalent) make the best HTML

There is a version 4.0.8, but unfortunately it's in Danish only. I
hope the author can find translators. V. 3.5e is not up to date
anymore and has a view quirks which have been fixed as of v. 4.0. It
looks like an interesting html editor which I would have a serious
look at if it were in English.

I agree. If you want to learn how to use an editor, which may or may
not be around tomorrow, then use a Web Page editor. If you want to
learn HTML, then use an ASCII/ANSI editor. What you learn will never
be obsolete, or platform dependent. This gets my vote:

NotePad++ 3.5

Notepad sucks IMO. It doesn't have syntax hilighting--something I couldn't
live without. May not need it to code, but you sure do to analyze the
code!

Can't agree more. There are so many free Notepad like editors with nice
additional features around, why not use them?

I'm sorry, but Arachnophilia is a peice of bloated shit.
My opinion only, because the author is also a piece bloated shit.
I've used most of them and I discern that I am a piece of bloated shit
like the Rocket Scientist that farts out Arachnophilia claim to be.
NVU allthe way or a simole word processor will do.

Even though I wrote the above, shit-faced drunk, I stand by almost every
word of the piece of bloated shit.
Thank you, (And don't forget to vote twice)
