WYSIWYG HTML Editor

Recently, there was a thread about WYSISYG HTML editors. I've been using
Trellian Webpage for a few months and find it an excellent program. However,
today I went back to see if there had been any upgrades. I had bookmarked
the original URL at http://webpage.vendercom.com/. From the descripton of
the program there:

Now here is where it gets confusing. My current version is 1.5.1.19 and I
dl'd it several months ago!

So I do a Google search and am eventually led to
http://www.trellian.com/webpage/index.html and a download site at
http://www.trellian.com/webpage/choice.htm. From the description at the
first URL:

"Trellian WebPage Trellian WebPage is a powerful HTML editor. It is freeware
and will always remain FREE"

However, when you go to the download site it says:

"Download WebPage Please choose from one of the following download options:
1. Download Full Version
For only $49.95 you can download the FULL, unrestricted version with a 30
day, NO RISK, money back guarantee. If you are not happy with the product
for what ever reason, we will refund your purchase price.
Top of Form 1 Bottom of Form 1

2. Download Trial Version
Download the FREE trial version. The trial version has limited
functionality.

Note: Existing customers, please use the second option when upgrading or

This version is also described as 1.05. The screenshots are definitely
different from the version I am using.

So now I am thoroughly confused about the status of this program and it's
version number. For anyone looking for a good WYSIWYG editor, I would
heartily recommend this program but for the details mentioned above. Perhaps
someone can dl and determine its status.

Trellian went dual mode software. One version is either shareware or
commercialware. The other is freeware. This is a very common practice
that I am seeing.

?? Do you mean it's status or how to use the program? It's an excellent
program and lets you jump between hand coding and WYSIWYG mode easily. Has a
well designed FTP function as well. Very intuitive. I was using "out of the
box" within a minute. However, with the latest versions I'm not sure of the
status or how they stack up features wise against the version I'm using.

Why don't you D/L it and give it a try?
