I have the 'PC Load Letter' message and the PC draw is nearly full. What
is it that senses the paper in the draw?

The main drawer is normally hard wired to a particular size. The cause
is usually that you have the printer loaded with (say) A4 (you don't
give your country) and the document you are printing is demanding that
peculiar American size they actually call 'letter'. :-)
