HP3820 problem

My HP 3820 prints garbage on top of page then ejects and
continues on top line. It started this behavior after an
older printer was installed and subsequently un-installed.
It appears that instead of interpreting the PCLcommands
it prints them.
I have tried to uninstall the driver and reinstall it
with no change.
Anybody has some suggestion?

Did you include Step 4 in your uninstall and reinstall? If not, you've just
reinstalled your corrupted drivers.
