HP2575 not printing labels correct?

I have experienced some strange problem with the HP 2575 all in one.

When printing docs or picts, all seems to be somehow normal.

But when it comes to printing labels, which is essintialy a table, it
is simply impossible to get the prinout right. The print preview of
the printer driver looks fine, but it starts printing stright from the
to of the paper, not laving any margin at all. The space between the
rows of lables is not equal, some rows are in fact printed over each
other, some have large space between them.

Tried on an old HP 880, there all looks as expected.

Is this problem known to the 2575 all in one ?

I've had the same problem with a deskjet 3845...The preview, or a print
on plain paper is fine, but the label sheet has the printable area
positioned differently, so the top and bottom of each label may spill
onto the next. As far as I can tell this is due to the thicker stock,
and possibly due to the slippery backing sheet. HP were not very helpful.

Hi Otto,

I had the same problem with my old Lexmark inkjet. The funny thing is
that is printed labels fine before, so I don't know what might have
changed over time. It was very frustrating to print the test sheet, see
that everything was OK, and then not have them print correctly on the
label paper. I was inserting the label paper correctly. I haven't tried
printing labels on my new printer (an HP), but now that you mention it,
I definitely will!

Best,
Christine

Try checking your paper type. Labels usually qualify as Heavyweight
Paper (not card) or Brochure Paper. Even though the label instructions
might reccomend to use the Plain Paper setting, the printer might not
be feeding properly since it's expecting 20 lb bond and getting the
equivalent of 28-32 lb paper.

You may have to instruct it to reduce ink usage, if it has that
option, unless the labels you have specifically say they're coated for
color printing. Avery labels tend to have the same surface as a sheet
of paper.

OK, the problem hee is, that it prionts the same shit already on
normal paper when testing it first. On preview all oK.
Then every printout also on normal paper is different, distances
between labels differ, and the first label is stright on the starting
edge of the paper. This regardless of quiality print, economy or high
quality has beth same problems.
