HP T45 All in One - One color dead

I have an HP T45 color printer/copier/fax/scanner and the yellow color just
stopped printing one day. I replaced the color cartridge though it was very
old. The new cartridge has the same problem. All other functions work
fine. I brushed off the contacts and reloaded the cartridge and have the
same problem. Any suggestions other than buy another printer?

Most likely the problem is a cartridge that is beyond its shelf life. Check the
cartridge expiration as shown at the following:
http://www.hp.com/cposupport/printers/support_doc/bpa02014.html If the
cartridge is still in warranty contact HP or your dealer for a replacement. If
the cartridge is beyond its warranty get a fresh cartridge, this should solve
your problem. When buying fresh cartridges look for the "install by" date on
the cartridge. I would look for a cartridge with at least six months remaining
before the "install by" date.
