HP PSC 2175 Install HELP!!.

Trying for two days to install this new psc 2175 in Dell Demension
,L933r. Windows ME, 256 ram lots of hd room. USB 1.1 on this two year
old dell. First time I had Norton off I thought but some of it was
still running. The thing loaded ok and I had all the programs in the
right places and printer was set up on all programs . The only thing
wrong was card reader printed baddddd pictures. I could communicate
with card reader ok and even d loaded a picture to the compact flash
card. I decided to do a reinstall to see if card reader would print
better and every thing went down hill from there. Tried the remedies at
HP site and installed update from Windows for me to better install and
uninstall (they said). Before last install did clean, check disk,
defrag which took two hours to defrag and two hours it took to reinstall
printer for the 4th or 5 th time in two days. I won't install printer
any place now. Any Ideas ?? Thanks Dale

Good news, Got it running ok after 1 1/2 on phone with HP tech in India.
We had to delete some entries from registry and other folders that
uninstall left behind. It took a few minutes on phone to get through.
I had also, from their site found I had 24,400 entries of oem.inf and
numbers after it. Their help site explains how to find them. Deleting
that many files is no easy task believe me. This happens with win ME and
Norton virus program for some reason.
