HP Photosmart 7350 Calibrates everytime

My Hp Photosmart 7350 printer always calibrates and prints a test page
whenever I switch my black and photo ink catridges. It never used to
do that until now. Sometimes, it will calibrate the black/photo ink
catridge when I power the printer up even though the ink catridge has
been there for some time. This is really annoying as it wastes ink and
paper printing the test pages. I already had like a dozen test pages
made with just two different ink catridges (black and photo). Does
anyone know a solution for this problem. I tried playing around with
the HP printer toolbox and print settings but nothing could be done.

Anytime a cartridge is changed, it needs to do a calibration page. Also, a
cartridge that's been sitting for a long time could possibly be dried out or
clogged, so I don't think another calibration page is unreasonable.

Basically, even though it seems wasteful, the printer is programmed to
behave this way in order to try to get you the best quality printouts. I
think it covers this sort of thing in the owner's manual, so take a look
there too.

Well, I was basing my information off the Photosmart 7550 owner's manual.
The 7550 prints a calibration page each and every time a cartridge is
changed.
