HP PhotoSmart 2610 -- Anyone Know How to Get the Top "Cover/Scanner" off?

Hi out there...

I have a PhotoSmart 2610 and need to replace the mylar cable just behind the
ink cartridge holders. I need to get the top unit off... the cover with
scanner/etc off in order to reach some of the screws holding the flat plate
(basic cover) off... so I can get my fat little fingers in to reach this
guy. I've googled and googled and can't find ANY disassembly instructions.

I've lifted the top unit (as if changing the ink)... found a screw on the
left support arm but I can't see any other screws holding that top unit on.
Anyone gotten this thing off... without breaking it... and gotten it back
together again??? If so... what's the trick???

I don't know this model but if it is like similar printers you need to remove
the control panel, usually there is a plastic tab that needs to be released and
then the panel slides and lifts out or you simply ease the control panel out
with a thin screwdriver. There are normally screws under the panel that help to
release the top of the scanner.
