HP Pavilion ze4420 - no resources available for wifi card

I am trying to install a wireless networking card in a Pavilion ze4420,
however, I get an error code 12 (no system resources available).

I am using Windows XP home.

I have tried Linksys wpc54g and a 3Com 3CRPAG175. Both work fine in another
computer yet give an error code 12 on the HP Pavilion ze4420.

I have disabled everything that is possible to disable to free up resources,
no help.

Can anyone offer assistance?

Your BIOS might not be setup for "S3" power options(standby and PNP services) and XP setup failed to use that.

It is *NOT* an XP issue. If you have disabled PnP in the BIOS, then the
computer is telling you that it cannot find an available resource (IRQ, etc)
in order to initialize the card.

As was posted, you must enable PnP so that upon booting the system resources
can be remunerated and then your card can be initialized.

As I said there is no way to disable/enable PnP in the bios, there simply
are no options to do it. XP does not let me change any IRQs. I can disable
PnP in XP, however doing so also disables the device manager.
