HP Officejet K550 Problems

I am having several problems with my brand new HP Officejet Pro K550
Printer.

1) The toolbox is not executing. (That's the HP software that
monitors the printer's performance.) It simply hangs.

2) The K550 will not print checks from Quicken 2006 or labels from
Stamps.com, although it will print envelopes from Stamps.com and some
Quicken Reports.

HP is saying it's my fault. But I don't think so. I think it's a
defect in the software that accompanies this printer.

It would be most helpful if others could report they are having similar
or related problems. That would demonstrate that the problem is HP's,
which might induce them to fix it. If you are having such problems
with this printer, would you please indicate this by responding to this
message?

HERE IS WHAT TO DO:

UNINSTALL THE DRIVERS SO THEY ARE NON EXISTENT
REINSTALL FROM THE CD THAT CAME WITH YOUR PRINTER
PRINT DOCUMENTS FROM:
WORD
POWERPOINT
WEB PAGES FROM INTERNET EXPLORER

THEN PRINT A PHOTOGRAPH


IF ALL LOOKS OK THEN TRY TO PRINT FROM QUICKEN. IF YOU HAVE A PROBLEM
IT IS MOST LIKELY QUICKEN AND NOT THE HP DRIVERS. CHECK YOUR QUICKEN
SETTINGS.
