HP LaserJet 5L won't work with Outlook Express - Win XP

I have recently purchased a new computer with Windows XP.
My HP LaserJet 5L will not work properly with Outlook
Express or Internet Explorer. It works fine with other
programs - Word, Excell, etc. but with OE it prints a
partial page then switches to paragraphs that look like a
punch card. The type is quite large (about 16) then
becomes huge (maybe 36). HP claim the printer works fine
and that it is a problem with Outlook Express and XP.
Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Make sure that you have obtained and installed the XP driver from HP
