Hp Laserjet 4250 defect

Hello everyone,
I seem to have come a bit stuck with one of the printers we have onsite here, a Hp laserjet 4250. Co-workers are printing and finding they have big prominent cream lines going right down the left hand side of there work. I have tried to look for a possible reason for this but I cant find one. Does anyone know anything about why this could be happening?
Would be great for your help.....???
