Anyone how to change the contrast on the control panel display on a HP
LJ 4200?
OR
On any HP , maybe I can modify the instructions to work with the 4200

I know of no way to do this, there is no option in the control panel menus. If
the LCD display has become hard to read it probably needs to be replaced.
