[Ma No]

Often, when I send a document to the printer, there is no response from
the printer until I reboot, and then the document prints normally. I'm
sure I have some setting wrong, but I'll be darned if I can figure out
what it is. Would appreciate any advice. Thanks.

If this does not happen every time I doubt if it is a setting that is wrong.
I recommend that you uninstall the printer driver, disconnect the printer,
reboot the PC, reconnect the printer and let XP reinstall the driver and see if
that fixes the problem.
Failing that you may have a PC memory issue of some sort.
This printer normally works very reliably with XP.
