I'm unable to get my hp laserjet 3500 to print with vista, even after
downloading the new driver. I also found that my hp scanjet 8200 does not
work. Both work well with XP. Would appreciate some helpful hints.

Thank you,

It seems to me that HP is not disclosing the many problems their printer
drivers have with Windows Vista. I also spent 8 hours with the HP technical
support and finally found that my problem (Scan button on the HP printer does
not work with Vista) was aknowledged and stated in a HP website.
the website
is:http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/...c00809848&dlc=en&printable=no&encodeUrl=true&

the printer that I bought and returned, were Photosmart C4385 and C4280.
Both of them carry the logo "Certified for Vista" meaning to me that they
should work smoothly with Vista. But they do not. Is that a case of False
advertisement?

Hi,
I had the same problem with my HP 4570c was working fine on ME and no more
on Vista.
I you were using the added CD that probably your system is totally
corrupted.
I was looking weeks and weeks on it and together with HP i came to the
conclusing that the only way was to perform a total reinstallion.

After exececuting (not using the SW of course) and just by plugging in the
scanner everthing was working fine (although in reduced mode).

Succes
