HP LaserJet 3330

Does anyone know how to clean the glass on the HP 3330 All-In-One
LaserJet.

Mine has a film on the bottom surface. The film does not seem to
effect the output but if cleaning could be accomplished (within
reason) , I sure would like to do it.

I don't have the specifics o how to remove the top of your scanner area
to clean under the glass, but I did want to mention that this problem is
very common with most scanners, it is usually off gassing of the
plastics (from the plastic releasing agent or plasticizers) and the
lubricants, and it does degrade the quality of the image somewhat.

If you do open the scanner section, be very careful about dust and the
scanner bar not being stressed or contacted. Depending upon the scanner
design, there may be some mirrors that you can VERY carefully clean with
a very soft lintfree cloth, again very careful about not using pressure
that can misalign things.

If possible use a static reducing cleaner so dust doesn't cling.
