Ask Hewlett Packard. They are responsible for writing the drivers for their
devices, not Microsoft. Device drivers included in any Windows install
media have been provided to Microsoft by the device manufacturers.
Try a different family of drivers - I got a 7760 photosmart printer to work
on 7800 series drivers - HP is not very good with updating drivers etc. -
same deal when XP came out - JMO
