HP Laserjet 1012 acting strange

I have an HP Laserjet 1012 that I've used without any problems since I
bought it in early '04. The other day, when I was in the other room, I
noticed it making a bunch of whooshing and beeping noises, and came in
to see all of the LED's cycling on/off in sequence. I turned it off and
back on, and now the amber LED stays on solid, and the thing will not
print. Is my printer kaput?

Your printer had a heart attack in it's sleep.

What is the status of all of the lights?
