hp jetdirect

I have a J2591A jetdirect. When I run the configuration page, I see an mac address, but no hostname. I shows an IP of 0.0.0.0. Can I telnet to it via the mac address, or what is the best way to set an IP on this device?

Do you have a DHCP server on your network?

Then you need to set the IP address manually on the Jetdirect. If this is an
external Jetdirect box, you'll need an HP utility to do it with - Don't
remember the name, as I use internal EIO cards generally which let me set
the IP info on the printer directly, but I think HP has a discovery service
it can use.
