HP Jetdirect card from Laserjet5 to HP1500 printer ?

Hi,

I've got an old Laserjet 5 with a Jetdirect card. Can I use this card in the
HP 1500 L color laserprinter I want to buy ? Does the 1500 use the same
Jetdirect and does it have the same (or compatible) physical/eletrical etc
interface ??

No - the LJ5 used an MIO card (currently the HP JetDirect 400 range) and
the CLJ1500 uses an EIO card (JetDirect 600 range). They are physically
incompatible.
