I was driving down the street. The gas gage pointed to empty. Added gas. That fixed it.

There is nothing about simply putting in a new HD that would fix this type
of error. The error was fixed by something you did while installing the HD.
Possibly, it was just a system cold re-boot/reset.

On the other hand, if you installed the new HD and installed the OS and
programs on the new HD, that might have fixed the problem. If so, simply
deleting and installing video drivers might have fixed it with far less
trouble and expense.

In any case, it must be good to have it working again.

Thats like saying "my dog is hungry, time for a new dog."

I have had at least 3 workstations crash (2 clients, one in this office)
with that error and each one was failure of the hard drives. Sometimes
the dog just dies regardless if its hungry.

Not true. Have had at least 3 instances of hardware failure related to
hard drives with that error.

Ever read this:
Stop 0xC2 messages might also be due to failing or defective hardware.
