There may be some connection there, but it's beyond my sphere of
knowledge. I would suggest subscribing to
microsoft.public.windowsxp.newusers newsgroup. There are many very
knowledgeable MS-MVPs monitoring that group, and I'm sure you'll get
more, and more helpful, replies than on this one. Also, be sure to
include all pertinent facts when posing your questions.

| I went to coribright.com and followed what I found on
| uninstalling drivers. I also tried some other things on
| the website, that also didn't work. I tried the hp.com
| solution, reinstalled the driver, but it still doesn't
| work. Could the fact that my old hard drive with Windows
| ME is still installed in the PC have anything to do with
| it? Is something from ME telling the printer to do
| something that conflicts with XP? I'm not running ME
| because the operating system somehow got corrupted
| (another story). I haven't re-formatted the drive yet
| because I want to save the data that's there.
|
| Again, any suggestions would be appreciated.
