HP deskjet 722c on Windows xp

when I installed the printer on my new computer, I received some errors, and was unable to use my printer. What should I do?
 
That printer works fine with winxp. You must have done something wrong in
the install

Did you download the HP Windows XP drivers for your printer and use those?
